In short
The app has two halves, and that distinction decides everything else.
Skating needs no account. The map, turn-by-turn guidance, recording a session, water points, official group skates, spots: all of it works without signing in, and none of it reaches us. What you record stays on your phone.
The community half needs an account, and only if you want it: submitting a spot, organising a skate with friends, signing up for a lesson. That is where data reaches us, and this page says which.
Either way: no advertising, no trackers, no analytics, nothing sold.
What stays on your phone
This data is never sent anywhere. It disappears if you uninstall the app.
- Your recorded sessions: track, distance, speeds, times.
- Your segments, generated routes and saved places.
- Your settings, including your city and your rider name.
- The notes you attach to a spot.
Your location
Used to place you on the map, work out where to join a group skate, draw a route, guide you in real time and record a session.
- Tracking continues with the screen off only during active guidance or recording, and stops as soon as you end it. A notification stays visible throughout, and iOS shows its blue indicator.
- Outside those moments, the app does not track your location.
What we receive if you sign in
Signing in uses a Google or Apple account. We never see your password: those services only hand us enough to recognise you.
Your account
- The identifier Google or Apple gives us for you.
- Your email address, display name and profile picture.
- Your rider name, the one you choose in the app. It is what others see on a skate’s map. Without it they see your first name only: your surname never leaves our servers.
- When the account was created, when you last visited, and the IP address of that visit.
- Your sign-in sessions: a fingerprint of the token, its expiry, the IP address and the browser or app used. They keep you signed in for thirty days and help spot an access that is not yours.
What you publish
- Spots you submit: name, type, position, surface, lighting, shelter, and your remarks. Once approved they join the public catalogue that everyone sees.
- Skates with friends: title, date, meeting point, route, pace, difficulty and notes. Who you invite, who answers what, and who leads.
- During a skate, if you lead the group and switch it on yourself: your position, speed and heading, published to the other participants and kept as the skate’s track. You can switch it off at any time, and erase your track.
- What you say about yourself during a skate: here, in the pack, at the toilets, needing help. Visible to the other participants only.
- Your friends: who you added, who added you, and where the request stands.
- Your lesson sign-ups, with the name you sign up under.
Notifications
If you allow them, two different things coexist:
- Group skate reminders are scheduled by your phone itself. Nothing passes through us.
- Invitations and news about a skate come from our server. For that we keep your device’s notification token, its platform, and when the app last presented it. The token goes through Apple or Google, who deliver the message. It is erased when you sign out.
What is passed to third-party services
To work, the app queries outside services. It passes them the bare minimum, with no identifier of yours.

These services apply their own privacy policies. None of them receives your identity.
The pnr.paris website
The site loads no third-party service when the page opens, and sets no cookie until you sign in. The only cookie set is the one that keeps you signed in, and it disappears when you sign out. No analytics or advertising cookies.
The Instagram section shows a preview provided by Meta, which is only loaded if you click “Show posts”. That click then passes your IP address to Meta, which sets its own cookies and applies its privacy policy. Without the click, nothing is sent to them.
Signing in on the site is the same as in the app, and gives access to the same things: submitting a spot, following its review, and the Android beta waiting list. That list is deleted once the beta ends.
Where, and for how long
Everything is hosted in Europe. Nothing is sold or passed on to third parties.
- Your account: as long as it exists.
- Sign-in sessions: thirty days, then they expire on their own.
- Positions published during a skate: they drop off the map after five minutes without an update, and are erased when the skate ends.
- A skate’s tracks: as long as the skate exists. You can erase yours at any time.
- Notification tokens: until you sign out, or until the device stops showing any sign of life.
- Approved spots: they stay in the catalogue, because they describe a place. See the deletion page.
- Backups: thirty days at the most.
Your rights (GDPR)
On the phone you can view and delete your sessions at any time, and erase everything by uninstalling the app. Location, notification and photo permissions are withdrawn in the system settings.
If you have an account, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability provided by the GDPR. Write to us and we will send back what we hold, or erase it, within one month at the most.

Children
Skating with the app requires no data, whatever your age. The community half is not intended for under-15s: if an account is reported as such, it is deleted.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published at this address, with an updated date.
