Terms of use

Last updated: 1 October 2026

In short

Patine’N’Rythme is free and ad-free. It is for skating in the city: finding a route, avoiding cobbles, spotting a water point, following group skates, and organising outings with other skaters.

Three things before the rest. You remain responsible for your own safety: the app suggests a way, it does not watch the road for you. What you publish is on you. And you can leave whenever you like, by deleting your account with one button.

1. What this covers

These terms apply to the Patine’N’Rythme app, on Android and iOS, and to the pnr.paris website. Using them means accepting these terms. If a clause does not suit you, do not use the service.

2. Accounts

Most of the app works without an account: the map, guidance, recording a session, water points, official group skates and the bundled spots.

An account, created with Google or Apple, is only needed for the community half: submitting a spot, organising a skate, adding friends, signing up for a lesson. It is personal. You answer for what is done with it, and you should tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

You can delete it at any time from the app or the site. What disappears and what remains is set out on the deletion page.

3. Skating is at your own risk

The app works out routes and displays information. It does not ride for you, and it is sometimes wrong: a street may be closed, a surface may have changed, a fountain may be out of order, an association’s route may change at the last minute.

4. What you publish

Spots, skates, their notes and the messages left to the group are your content. By publishing them you state that they are yours or that you are entitled to share them, and you allow us to display them in the app and on the site, free of charge, for as long as they are published.

The following are forbidden and removed without notice: unlawful, insulting or hateful content, content naming a person without their consent, advertising, places whose access is forbidden or dangerous, and anything meant to harm the service or its users.

5. Moderation

Submitted spots are reviewed before they appear on everyone’s map. A refusal is given a reason, and that reason is shown to you in the app.

Content may be taken down, and an account banned from the community, where point 4 is breached. A ban is temporary or permanent depending on the seriousness, and its reason is stated. You can challenge it by writing to contact@pnr.paris: we answer, and we reverse it if we got it wrong.

Deleting your account does not lift a ban in force.

6. Free, and best effort

The service is free. There is no subscription, no purchase and no advertising. Any donations are voluntary and grant nothing in return.

We do our best to keep everything working, without promising continuous availability: the service may stop for a fault, for maintenance or for a change. The app keeps the essentials offline, which limits the damage of an outage.

7. Intellectual property

The Patine’N’Rythme name, its logo and the app’s code belong to it. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap and its contributors under the ODbL licence; water points, toilets and street surfaces come from cities’ open data portals under their own licences.

8. Personal data

What we receive, keep and erase is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Changes

These terms may change with the service. The new version is published at this address with its date. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it; otherwise, you can delete your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute we look for an amicable solution first: write to contact@pnr.paris. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction.
